Equitable Development
We need to make sure that when one part of the city prospers, everyone shares in the benefits. It is imperative that we ensure District 6 has its needs met to help maintain a high quality of life we all expect. This includes making District 6 a place welcoming to all businesses, ensuring city assets and services are meeting or exceeding our expectations, and finally getting to the root of long standing issues and trying to solve them as a community.
Transportation and Connectivity
We need solutions throughout the city to ensure our neighbors can get where they need and want to go quickly, easily, and safely, with or without access to a car. Ensuring our bus system is on time, clean, safe and remains free of charge to riders. We should also focus on alternative modes of transportation and make sure we are building neighborhoods that are walkable and still provide the services our neighbors need and want.
Climate Action
Every action counts, even the small ones. We have a duty to make sure our planet is clean and healthy for future generations. Ensuring we continue to promote green technology in our modes of transportation and in our building codes, expanding access to recycling programs, and educating the public on ways to reduce our carbon footprints are all steps we can and should take. We can win this fight, let's do it!
Building a Stronger Community
District 6 is my home and I want it to be a welcoming place for everyone. This includes having excellent amenities, services, and a strong sense of community between neighbors. I want neighbors to know each other and to feel safe and connected in their neighborhoods. We need neighborhood groups to gather, talk about what matters to them, and help to create inventive solutions to our issues.
